On March 29 we had to modify our service schedule to fit within the Governor Northam’s guidelines in his response to the COVID 19 crises with Executive Orders 53 and 55. You can read Executive Order 53 here. We held services on campus in the auditorium and 107 building with no more than 10 in attendance at one time in each building respectively. We held two morning services. One service met in both buildings at 10 a.m. and the other met in both buildings at 11 a.m. We required participants to sign up to ensure that we met those guidelines and we continually wiped down frequently touched surfaces. We launched “church online” in response to the crises as well. Our desire is to attempt to abide by the Governor’s directives to “social distance” and abide by Scriptural mandates to “assemble together”. You can read Executive Order 55 here.
On May 8 the Governor issued Executive Order 61 stating that Virginia will enter phase one of reopening that the Governor has called “Forward Virginia”. With Executive Order 61, Loudoun Baptist Church would be able to increase the attendance allowance to approximately 60 people in the auditorium on May 17. Our desire is to continue the current Sunday Morning Schedule that we have in place. We would have one service in the Auditorium at 10 a.m. and one service in the Auditorium at 11 a.m. There would be no service in the 107 building. The maximum allowed in attendance would increase from 10 to 60. We have established a COVID 19 Clean Team to help us comply with the Governor’s mandate and ensure the safety of those in attendance. You can read Executive Order 61 here.
On May 10 the leaders of the local governments in Northern Virginia sent a letter to the Governor requesting that Northern Virginia be exempt from Executive Order 61. Loudoun County is included in the request. You can read that letter here.
On May 12 Governor Northam issued Executive Order 62 stating that Loudoun County will be delayed for two weeks on reopening. This means that we at Loudoun Baptist cannot have more than 10 in attendance. This also means that the 107 building will still be utilized to allow more individuals to attend on campus. Our Sunday Morning Service times are still 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The 11 a.m. service can still be seen online at facebook.com/loudounbaptist. The deadline for this executive order is May 28. If the order does not get extended, then we at Loudoun Baptist Church can move forward with our Phase 1 response of the “Forward Virginia” initiative, but for now we are still under the Executive Order 55 restrictions. You can read Executive Order 62 here.
Please be in prayer for our leaders as they seek our safety. Also, be in prayer that God will lift this virus and allow us to reach and minister to our community as He desires us to.
